Biography:

James Gorman is chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley. Gorman joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 as president and chief operating officer of wealth management. He became CEO in 2010 and chairman in 2012.

He previously was director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, president of the Federal Advisory Council to the U.S. Federal Reserve Board and chairman of the board of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, among other positions.
